A cosy two star hotel close to Yabucoa in the quiet south east corner of Puerto Rico, Parador Costa Del Mar offers modest rooms with balconies providing spectacular ocean views. What really makes Parador Costa Del Mar special is where it is. Perched atop the cliffs overlooking the ocean with islands in the distance and located in a very quiet part of the island. It's a great place to relax and unwind.
Despite being away from the main tourist areas, the standard of hospitality here is up there with the best hotels. The staff are never far away when you need their assistance and do their best to make you feel at home.
The room rates here are very competitive, perfect for travellers who are on a limited budget. What you get for your money is actually pretty good and you're sure to have a comfortable stay.
This is only a two star hotel so you can't go expecting too much, but there really could be an improvement with some aspects of the hotel. The televisions are very old, the gym doesn't have standard machines like a treadmill, and the room key cards are temperamental.
You will be very lucky if you can access the Wi-Fi from your room here. You best bet is to head out of your room to one of the communal areas in the hotel, but these are pretty much all outside.
There is actually no restaurant at the Parador Costa Del Mar, instead the hotel restaurant is located about half a mile away at the sister hotel Parador Palmas de Lucia. It's a good 15 minute walk to get there and there aren't many other restaurants nearby.
