Negative Reviews
negative:
Noisy Neighborhood
The local area can get quite busy so noise from street traffic can be problematic in some rooms, especially on the lower floors. In addition, a couple guests complained about hearing music from a local bar or nightclub late at night. If you’re a light sleeper, you may want to request a room facing away from the road and bring some earplugs along as well.
negative:
Safe and Secure
A few guests were concerned about personal security in the area but most guests assure that the neighborhood has become very family friendly and safe the past few years. However, it’s always a good idea to exercise street smarts after dark.

Showing Age
Being a historic hotel, it is no surprise to most guests that the rooms show evidence of this. The property is well-cared for but does need some cosmetic upgrades.
