Palazzo Ranucci is a cosy hostel recently restored in an efficient and refined manner. This building originally belonged to the noble family Ranucci. Later the Ranucci family donated the building to an order of nuns who set up a kindergarten there. Going back to 1400-1500 Palazzo Ranucci was erected in the historic centre of Tuscania, in a strategic point from which all the beauty and suggestive panorama can be admired. From the terrace of the hostel restaurant one can see evidence of the beauty of its history and culture: St.Peter's Basilica, the Great Monastery, The Fountain of the Seven Spouts (La Fontana delle Sette Cannelle) and all the characteristics of a Tuscan historic centre. Tuscania is one of the pearls of the Etruscan civilization, and in the interesting Archeological Museum ample evidence of this is proudly on show. Relicts of such antique history is seen also in the numerous etruscan tombs present in the area offering an ideal tourist attraction for a journey in the discovery of a fascinating period in history.
