When we were young!
They've strived to create a peaceful and tranquil setting: with lush gardens, fruit trees, flowers and idyllic pool area. The fact that guests' out of control kids are capable of ruining the ambience at the drop of a hat is outside the hotel's remit. The kids can even ‘out-squawk' the hotel's resident peacocks … + that is no mean feat!
positive:
It's good to be way-out!
The hotel is 15-20 minutes from the main ‘buzz' but, not to worry, the hotel offers a really good priced car service and a friendly driver with advice on places to visit - and others to avoid. Members of staff, generally, are very friendly and helpful. Couldn't be nicer.
positive:
No shortage of food.
Breakfast is included in the tariff and is surprisingly appetising. There's plenty of it, too. Afterwards, you can virtually have what you want and when you want it.
Negative Reviews
negative:
This Desert Song is off-key
Restaurant choices are limited + virtually nil for vegetarians. Breakfast coffee is cold …in Marrakech? Come on! The pool isn't heated and they need oodles of hours notice to heat up the sauna for you. Drinks cost an arm and a leg -*get it from the local shop! - and UK taxi drivers can only long for what they are able to charge here.
negative:
Not ideal for kids.
The place is designed as a peaceful retreat, away from the stresses of everyday life. Consequently, there isn't a lot for kids to do + their understandable frustration results in disruption for other guests. Families would be much better off booking in elsewhere.
negative:
Outnumbered.
During the off-season, you are likely to be greatly outnumbered by the numbers of staff, many of whom are untrained and ineffective.
