The palace Claudio Bravo is a magical place, still bathed by the presence of Claudio Bravo, great hyperrealist painter who built it. Since 1972, the artist, of Chilean origin, had made Morocco his place of life and creativity. he boasted of the exceptional light so present in his paintings and which he knew how to keep in his various homes; in Tangier, where he had managed to capture the clarity of the Mediterranean, then to Marrakech and finally to Taroudant where he ended his days. The 75-hectare palace, 8 km from Taroudant, at the foot of the High Atlas, on the Tamaloukt road, is now open to visitors. The main body is separated into several wings and structures, connected to each other by courtyards and covered walkways. These separate wings house lounges and rooms, as well as the private suites and the Claudio Bravo workshop where several of his works were born. Going around the building is fascinating. There are many works and canvases on view (some of the works of friends of Claudio Bravo such as Pablo Picasso), giving the impression that the artist has just released. The mausoleum of Claudio Bravo also houses a unique and impressive collection of vases and ancient Moroccan ceramics. at the other end of the estate are the stables, which still house more than twenty noble horses. Not to mention the multitude of trails that invite you to discover sculptures and an abundance of exotic plants.
