Positive Reviews
positive:
Very comfy beds
This was perhaps the most often mentioned compliment. Guests said that the beds very comfortable. Considering the lack of complaints, it seems reasonable to conclude that the hotel has managed to select a mattress with truly broad appeal.
positive:
Terrific central location
Guests really like the location of the hotel. They felt that they were in the very center of town and didn’t need to travel very far for the bars, restaurants, shops and other amenities. Also mentioned was the proximity to the ferry to Canada.
positive:
Remarkably quite
A number of guests were surprised to report that, despite the central location, their rooms were actual relative havens of peace and quiet. Most said they were more than quiet enough for a good night’s rest.
Negative Reviews
negative:
In desperate need of a makeover
A large number of guests pointed out that the hotel was looking very much the worse for wear. It was not only a matter of the décor being out of date, which it was, but that guests felt the property had that unloved and uncared for appearance that is the result of years of indifferent maintenance and care.
negative:
Exceptionally poor breakfast
It was hard to find a kind word written about the complimentary breakfast offered. Guests reported that it was astonishingly basic, consisting of bread, perhaps a pastry and a hot drink. Many felt it was simply not worth the bother.
negative:
Spotty Wi-Fi
Unusually for a Days Inn property, there were a large number of complaints about the Wi-Fi. They reported that it was both unreliable, sometimes being off line completely, and often too slow to be able to use with everyday apps.
