Hotel Oceanside Lodge (Upper Township, USA)

The vast majority of guests at this Rodeway Inn took this property for what it was: a simple hotel offering budget accommodation. All things considered, most reported solid stays here, with many very happy with the overall level of cleanliness of their rooms and the soft, comfy mattresses. Given its budget price point, this property’s pool was a real hit with guests.

Set a few minutes away from the heart of Ocean City, many reported quiet and peaceful stays. However, when guests were ready to explore the best of this famous seaside town, they found that this property was ideally located for some of the area’s best attractions, including Ocean City’s boardwalk and beach as well as Playland’s Castaway Cove.

Given its location and solid – if basic – accommodation, many felt that this Rodeway Inn represented excellent value for money within the Ocean City area.

While most were happy with the overall cleanliness of their bedrooms, the bathrooms at this hotel left a lot to be desired. Many reported mold and mildew in shower and tub areas as well as dripping shower heads.

This is an older property and while its external look didn’t necessarily pose a problem, the worn appearance of the rooms themselves did have an impact on stays. In addition to old fixtures and fittings, many reported signs of damage that seemed to have gone unattended for quite some time. Holes and random screws in walls and worn cabinets were a common complaint here.

Finally, there were consistent reports of stained and dirty sheets at this hotel.
