Hotel Oceana Playero (San Juan, Puerto Rico)

If you want a quaint little spot that's reasonably priced and moments from the beach, you've come to the right place. The Oceana Hostal Playero is located on the edge of San Juan and right across from the Ocean Park Beach.

Each morning, before you start your adventures in Puerto Rico, you're treated to a light breakfast featuring coffee, tea, toast, fruit, and other morning favorites. It's a terrific way to power up for the day—and it's free.

If you're traveling with your family and want a place to stay where you can spread out and coexist comfortably. The hotel's suites are ideal for your needs. Each spacious apartment sleeps up to six people, between beds and futons, and has a full kitchen.

Several prior visitors to the hotel have mentioned that, although pleasant and perfectly situated, the hotel has seen better days. They felt a little paint, renovation, and updating could turn this older accommodation into a sparkling jewel.

While the hotel does offer a free continental breakfast to its patrons, former guests made sure to note that it starts very early and only lasts for roughly an hour or two. In this case, the early bird catches the free meal.

The Oceana Hostal Playero does offer courtesy Wi-Fi in the lobby area. Unfortunately, the signal doesn't extend to the rooms. If you require a steady connection, you may need to camp out in the commons or use your phone's signal.
