Positive Reviews
positive:
Modern and clean
Guests tend to describe the Oasis at Gold Spike as modern and clean. The rooms themselves are fairly hip looking, presumably designed to match the neighbourhood in which the hotel is located. In the grounds of the hotel, you can expect quirks like astro-turf covered furniture.
positive:
Fun location
If you're looking to party during your stay in Las Vegas, this hotel should definitely be on your short list. According to reviews, the partying very rarely ends here. There are activities galore and people seem to be having fun in the pool around the clock.
positive:
Excellent staff
By all accounts, the staff at this hotel seem to have just as much fun working here as guests do while staying here. Expect the happy, friendly staff to be available to cater to your every whim.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Limited in-room amenities
While not a major concern, guests do occasionally mention that the rooms are attractive but lack some basic amenities - tea/coffee making facilities is the most often missed amenity. Perhaps the hotel's 24-hour bar will make up for that.
negative:
Loud music plays almost constantly
More than one guest describes this property as a nightclub masquerading as a hotel. The loud music kicks off around 10 am and continues right through until the following day around 4 am. If you like that sort of thing, great. If not, it can make for some sleepless night. You may need to take full advantage of the free earplugs given to guests on arrival.
negative:
Parking can be tricky
The nearest parking is a small lot on the other side of Las Vegas Boulevard. Guests mention that the Boulevard is not the easiest road to cross, particularly with luggage in tow. Make life easier by seeing if one of the hotel's three loading/unloading spaces is available before you park up.
