Hotel Novotel Lombok Resort & Villas (Kuta, Indonesia)

The members of staff are very warm and friendly. The fact that majority of the employees are fluent in a number of languages was very encouraging for international guests as they felt their needs were easier to communicate and quickly met. They are very knowledgeable of the area and quick to offer suggestions on attractions to visit that they think might be of interest.

The beachfront hotel is close to very many restaurants, pubs and shops. The beach is just a short walk away and the Villa private beach onsite is guests' favourite. The hotel offers good value for money as everything you need is within a reasonable distance.

The rooms are quite clean and well kept. Guestrooms are very spacious and the furniture and decor unifies with the overall theme of the hotel. The mattresses are lavishly comfortable and an adequate number of pillows are provided.

A number of guests felt that the restaurant and bar were too expensive. Considering the relatively average quality of the food and the limited variety of dishes and drinks offered, they were of the view that they were being ripped off.

A number of guests have complained about the Wi-Fi connection provided by the hotel. The signal was weak and at times missing in some rooms. The speed was also moderately slow and was only convenient for light web browsing.

The air conditioning unit in a few of the rooms appears to be faulty as they did not perform according to how they were set, for instance warm air being felt during a low temperature setting. A few guests have complained about the complexity of the units and the difficulty in properly adjusting them according to one's needs.
