This is a terrific place to stay for business trips, applying for jobs, or visiting someone at university or in the hospital. It's also near enough to many sites of interest, and to be able to go for a short drive or absorb the local culture.
The staff make everyone feel quite welcomed, are readily available, and do whatever they can to make your stay a successful one. They're also friendly and enjoy sharing knowledge and advice about the area, as well as hearing about you and your travels.
Guests are quite pleased with the rooms, as they well meet the expectations for cleanliness, space, and cosiness. They also feel safe, in and throughout the house, and within the immediate area where the lodge is located. The room locks are strong, and staff will walk you to your room for an added security measure.
Unfortunately the walls aren't think enough to entirely prevent loud room and guest noise from being overheard. Traffic can also be loud, so you're likely to be disrupted by the outside if you're near the front of the house.
It's difficult at times to properly control the heat in the room, and sometimes the space heaters don't work, or there aren't heaters provided. Make sure to have extra clothing with you, or request extra blankets if necessary.
Several guests seem to forget that the bathrooms are shared, and are thus annoyed or let down when they discover otherwise. If you're not comfortable about this kind of accommodation, then do not stay here.
