There was plenty of praise for the modernized rooms with new look decor. Many guests said they found the rooms more than adequately comfy, spacious and clean for a stopover. Moreover, it appealed that the rooms were well-equipped with microwaves and mini-fridges. Budget-conscious travellers often felt they got fair bang for their buck due to the usually reasonable room rates.

Not only did guests appreciate the proximity of a major shopping mall, but also there were lots of dining options nearby. Furthermore, the motel was close to handy amenities like petrol stations and convenience stores. The easy access to highway I-30 made it easy to drive to downtown as well as military bases, universities, museums and attractions across the DFW metroplex. The free parking also proved popular.

Reviewers welcomed the availability of a Wi-Fi network at this budget property. However, many were disappointed that they had to pay a small daily fee for access.

Some guests felt the no frills format was applied too rigidly because there were no little extras provided in the rooms such as hairdryers, ironing equipment, tissues and tea and coffee-making facilities. The lack of breakfast also came as a disappointment to several travellers.

Although many guests commented that they enjoyed a quiet stay, some light sleepers remarked that several rooms were exposed to occasional road noise from the freeway nearby.
