Moblat New York is a self catering apartment in the Astoria section of Queens suitable for independent travellers and offering easy access to Manhattan. The apartments has a contemporary design and features separate sleeping and living/dining areas, a fully equipped kitchen and flat screen TV’s. It can accommodate up to five guests. The focus is on the apartment itself and there are few communal amenities. The agents are available by phone to assist should you have any issues during your stay. You can of course make use of your kitchen to prepare your own meals, but New York is renowned for its great restaurant scene, so you will have no problems finding a great dining spot nearby, especially along 30th Street. The apartment is near the 30th Street subway stop, making Manhattan, and the rest of New York easily accessible from Moblat New York.
The vast majority of guests were very happy with the location of the apartment. They especially liked that it was close to the 30th Street Subway Station, from where Manhattan and the rest of New York was easily accessible. Many also mentioned that the Astoria neighbourhood was very attractive and had great restaurants and amenities.
Guests were generally very impressed with the agent they dealt with during their stay, Martha, saying that she was efficient, gave good information and made herself available should her guests have any queries or issues to raise.
On the whole, guests were quite satisfied with the speed and reliability of the Wi-Fi and also mentioned that the TV was hooked up to a reasonably comprehensive cable package.
The general feeling among guests was that the apartment was very small, even by New York standards. Even guests in groups of only three felt that it got very crowded with that number of people staying, let alone groups with the maximum allowed guests (five).
There were perhaps a bit too many complaints about insects of various kinds in the apartment, ranging from ants to cockroaches. The general feeling seemed to be that if more attention was paid to cleaning the problem could be greatly reduced or even eliminated.
Several guests complained that other guests and/or residents in the apartment block were very noisy, sometimes late at night. Since this is not an apart-hotel, but rather a single apartment in a regular building, guests did not really know how best deal with this problem.
