Rooms basic with limited TV channels
The basic nature of the rooms at the Hotel Mira was lambasted in some quarters. As well as lacking amenities such as a hairdryer, the television provided was also negatively received - mainly due to the supposedly limited amount of English language channels.

Lift produces an overbearing noise
A sizeable amount of former guests were critical about the noise that is produced by the hotel's lift. Although a rather unique situation, the noise from the lift when in operation was said to be really disruptive when residing in the accommodation's rooms.

Temperature difficult to control
The temperature of the rooms has proved to be a somewhat regular problem for past visitors of the Hotel Mira. Whether they were too hot or too cold, it has ended up being difficult for some to control the room temperature.
