Of course it was the views over Lake Windermere that guests most appreciated. They were described as simply sublime, and left guests in no doubt that they had arrived in one of the prettiest spots in England.
Again and again guests mentioned how genuinely friendly the staff were. They seemed to take a real interest in their guest's well-being and tended to carry out there duties in a cheerful, but still professional, way.
