About Mill Rythe Coastal Village
Well known for its excellent entertainment offerings, Mill Rythe Holiday Village offers simple but modern accommodation and resort-like facilities.
The rooms are modern and recently refurbished, and feature en-suite bathrooms, flat screen TV’s with freeview channels, hairdryers and tea/coffee stations.
Mill Rythe has a wealth of facilities and activities on offer, from swimming in one of the two heated pools, to archery. There’s even a well tended bowling green, so don’t forget your whites. It is especially well known for its evening entertainment, with comedy acts, rock bands and much more besides.
The on-site restaurant serves mostly honest and traditional British fare, with some international favourites like burgers and pizza included as well.
Of course the resort offers so much that most spend almost all their time enjoying what it has to offer. Golfers will find Tournerbury Golf Course very nearby, while the South Hayling seafront is about 1.7 miles away.
Positive Reviews
positive:
Incredible variety of things to do
It seems that guests could hardly believe all the activities available to them at the holiday village. This included both the families travelling in school holidays, and the adults visiting at other times. Everybody seemed to find more than enough to keep them occupied and entertained.
positive:
Pretty decent food
While guests weren't exactly nominating the chefs for the next cooking reality show, they had a good appreciation for the food offered. It was described as unfussy but tasty, and with enough variety to prevent boredom over the course of a holiday.
positive:
Excellent animation team
In fact all the entertainers, form the roving animation team, to all the other acts, were roundly applauded for putting on a good show and keeping both children and adults engaged and entertained.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Rooms not really soundproofed
Going by guest comments it seems that the rooms really aren't soundproofed at all. They speak of sound travelling between the rooms like the walls were barely even there to impede its progress.
negative:
Popular activities tend to get booked up
While there was certainly a lot to do, some guests were disappointed to find that some of the activities on the top of their list were booked up. There was also some confusion and frustration with the booking process, since it involved queuing without knowing ahead of time which activities were full.
negative:
Poor Wi-Fi and mobile coverage
While this was a boon to some, others found the fact that Wi-Fi was only accessible near the reception, and pretty poor even there, dispiriting. Given how central connectivity is in many people's lives they felt this was a major disadvantage. Also, mobile coverage was also said to be poor in the area.
