Positive Reviews
positive:
Pretty decent breakfast
The vast majority of guests seemed very satisfied with the breakfast offered. Despite being termed a “simple continental” breakfast by the hotel, guests felt that it was a bit better than that term would ordinarily suggest. The “make you own waffles” station was definitely a big hit.
positive:
Very pet-friendly
Guests traveling with their pets felt that they received a warm welcome, and that the hotel was truly friendly to pets and their owners, rather than merely allowing them to stay.
positive:
Remarkably quiet
A number of guests expressed their astonishment that their rooms were so quiet, despite the hotel being fairly close to the highway.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Very hard pillows
A surprising number of guests had a very specific problem with the pillows - they found them much too hard. Considering the volume of complaints it seems that the pillows used here are much harder than is typical.
negative:
Problems with smoking
Guests on both sides of this divide expressed unhappiness. A number of smokers said that they booked smoking rooms, only to be told on check-in that only non-smoking rooms remained, while several non-smokers mentioned it was obvious that their non-smoking room had very recently been occupied by a smoker.
negative:
Odd TV set up
Guests didn’t generally like the way the TV was positioned, or the fact that it was a small old fashioned cathode ray set. They mentioned that it was position high up and at an angle that made it hard to watch unless they were lying on their back on the bed.
