Hotel Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Franklin (Franklin, USA)

One of the first things many guests mentioned in their reviews was that there were an incredible number of restaurants within easy walking distance. Unlike many similar hotels in its category, this one was near a bit of an urban strip that had good and interesting places to eat.

Quite a number of guests brought up the question of value for money, with all saying they felt they got decent value at the very least. The great location was usually cited as the main reason.

It was near impossible to find an unkind word written about the staff. Most guests found them to be friendly and very helpful when approached with a query or issue.

Guests really did not think highly of the breakfast. It was described as incredibly simple, consisting of little more than bread, muffins and a drink. Guests would have appreciated some hot foods such as biscuits and gravy, as well as some protein sources.

Several guests mentioned experiencing problems with the smoking policies. The hotel allows smoking in some rooms, but these do not seem to be in a designated wing or on a separate floor. As a result, guests mentioned that most of the hallways smelled like tobacco smoke most of the time during their stay.

Though the building is only two stories high, a surprising number of guests mentioned really missing having an elevator. It wasn’t that it was too bad walking up and down the stairs once, but some guests did get tired of making the trip multiple times a day.
