Hotel Microtel Inn Georgetown - Lexington North (Georgetown, USA)

Guests really appreciated being so close to the interstate. It made the hotel easy to find after what had often been a long journey and also made zipping off to all the attractions so convenient – since there was no web of busy city street to negotiate first.

Considering that the hotel is in a small development right off the interstate, guests were actually quite impressed with the range of dining options within walking distance. They mentioned that they found a number of fast food joints and more upscale restaurants to choose from.

Even guests who admitted to being very demanding in this area reported that their rooms were very clean on check-in and that housekeeping did an excellent job keeping them in tip top shape during their stay.

Many guests felt that the hotel had gone far too long without being remodeled. The décor was said to be both old fashioned and in a relatively poor state of repair. Guests felt that the hotel would need a full makeover in order to remain competitive.

It was hard to find many kind words written about the breakfast. About the most positive sentiment expressed was that it was “OK”. But most guess felt it was somewhat less than “OK”, with far too little variety to generate any enthusiasm.

Quite a number of guests had a problem with the fact the hotel was not 100% non-smoking. It seems the smoking and non-smoking rooms are not separated at all, resulting in a number of guests complaining that all the hallways smelled of tobacco smoke, even though they were in a non-smoking room.
