Comfortable rooms with a pool...
The rooms are widely described as comfortable and spacious. Many enjoy a great night's sleep, and also appreciate the balcony area. Some rooms offer a fine view of the church and others have direct access (through a gate) to the rooftop pool. It is widely described as clean and modestly sized, though definitely big enough for young guests to enjoy.
positive:
Close to everything...
Guests love the hotel's location in the heart of the city, often commenting that they are able to leave their cars parked for the duration of the trip. There are many cafes, restaurants, and shops within a comfortable walk. The river and beach are within easy reach on foot, too.
positive:
Professional, knowledgeable staff...
The reception staff are widely described as very friendly, polite, and helpful. Travellers find that the team is very knowledgeable about the area, and are pleased to accommodate special requests. The wait staff also get top marks for cheerful, attentive service, and both the dinner menu and buffet breakfast have received good reviews.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Getting a little older...
Guests have described the overall impression as "a bit tired," with some wear in the carpet and mould (or the scent of mould) in some bathrooms. Maintenance concerns and housekeeping oversights have also been reported, though the majority of travellers find the rooms clean.
negative:
Party on...
The hotel hosts wedding receptions, and guests in rooms closest to the party generally find the noise to be an issue late into the evening. Some travellers have been disturbed by noise from the pool area as well.
negative:
A matter of perspective...
Though some rooms offer fine outlooks over the city and water, others offer a depressing view of the parking garage or loading docks.
