Hotel Medinaceli (Barcelona, Spain)

The location of the Medinaceli hotel is ideal for those looking to see the sights of Barcelona. It’s two blocks from Las Rambles, Barcelona Port and the El Barri Gotic area, and a 10-minute walk to the beach. There are bars, restaurants and shops all around, plus transport links are excellent.

Although the rooms at this hotel are different in size, most guests report that they stayed in a large, spacious room with plenty of space, particularly for a city centre hotel. The rooms are also clean and bright, and many previous guests have commented on how good the showers are.

Previous guests of Medinaceli report that the service is excellent and that the staff are friendly, polite and always on hand to assist.

Despite there being free Wi-Fi access throughout the hotel, a number of guests say that the Wi-Fi signal is not very good. Many couldn’t use it from their rooms, and others report a slow connection that drops out intermittently.

Some guest have expressed a few minor problems with their rooms, including air-conditioning they could not control, uncomfortable beds and a lack of tea and coffee making facilities.

Some guests would have liked the option to have dinner at Medinaceli, although there are plenty of options for dining out in the hotel’s immediate vicinity. A breakfast is offered, although many found that it lacked choice.
