Hotel Maridel (Ocean City, USA)

The rooms at Maridel are well laid-out, clean and comfortable. Guests appreciated the nice room amenities, with utilitarian basics like a refrigerator and microwave, as well as free parking and complimentary Wi-Fi.

Though the hotel is not on the Ocean City Boardwalk, the hotel is still close enough to the city center, just a 20-minute walk away. You can reach plenty of shopping, dining and entertainment destinations on foot. The beach is only a block away. Many guests appreciated the hotel being within walking distance to Seacrets, a popular bar and nightlife destination.

The staff at Maridel are friendly and welcoming. Should any problems arise, the employees do their best to be accommodating. They can also give you plenty of advice and local tips, as they are knowledgeable about the area. Guest appreciated the fact that the personnel was always available and ready to help, no matter the hour.

Though most guests were genuinely pleased with the hotel accommodations, they thought the bathrooms are a bit too cramped. In addition, the pool is too small for most guests' comfort.

There is no elevator at the hotel, even though it consists of several stories. If you have a lot of luggage, or are not comfortable with using stairs, make sure to request a ground floor room at reservation or check in.

A few guests complained about a bad smell coming from the older air conditioning units. However, most guests have had no complaints.
