positive:
Almost on Rialto Bridge, overlooking Grand Canal.
Marconi’s location on Grand Canal was the obvious highlight of guests’ stays, as it is found almost on the Rialto Bridge, and provided a perfect spot for exploring Venice by foot. With water bus stations nearby, the train station within walking distance and restaurants and shops all around, people had everything they needed.
positive:
Hot and cold buffet breakfast.
Guests found the breakfasts to be very good, with the wide variety of hot and cold dishes served in a large and beautiful dining room.
positive:
Front desk staff particularly helpful.
The staff is apparently very nice, especially the front desk team, who guests said proved very helpful with tourist enquiries and recommendations on where to eat and explore.
Negative Reviews
negative:
No elevator.
The lack of elevator could be a problem for those with disabilities or lots of luggage, but staff can help to port luggage up the stairs as long as you can follow.
negative:
Wi-Fi only in lobby, air conditioning.
Some guests reported that the free Wi-Fi only was actually only available in the lobby, while a small number considered the room air conditioning to be too weak for their liking.
negative:
Some small room observations.
According to a small number of guests, certain rooms can be on the small side and therefore a bit overpriced in their opinion. To a few, the style seemed a bit dated, but others appreciated the classical atmosphere, and a little noise from the streets is possible for those with rooms looking out over the street and canal.
