Hotel MainStay Suites Port Saint Joe (Port St. Joe, USA)

The majority of guests definitely both liked and appreciated the breakfast. They felt that it had a decent variety of foods on offer, and appreciated that the hotel made it available. That way, they didn’t have to search for a restaurant first thing in the morning.

All guests seemed to really appreciate having the little kitchens available, even those only staying a short time. Some made full meals, and felt that they had a decent array of kitchen equipment to make use of, and others liked that they had the space and facilities to heat up quick snacks and such.

Guests who brought their pets along were pretty happy with their experience. They felt that they and their pets were treated just like any other guests.

Guests were clearly not thrilled with the hotel’s location. It was described as being some way from the amenities of Port St Joe. This might not have been so bad had there been some amenities nearby, but guests said that there were not even any simple restaurants within walking distance.

This was by far the most common, and most serious, complaint. Guest after guest said that their room was simply too small. They were expecting an extended stay suite to be spacious, but in realty this was not the case. They felt they did not have enough space for the number of guests booked in.

Guests clearly felt that the hotel desperately needed a makeover. Some guests felt that it was purely a matter of aesthetics, while others said the buildings had deep seated problems with things like mildew, but all were agreed that the hotel would benefit from a full renovation.
