Hotel Leopolda (Florence, Italy)

It was rare to read a review that did not praise the hotel's staff. Guest after guest reported that they found them to be incredibly friendly and helpful, and they really seemed to be the highlight of their stay at the hotel.

While the hotel is not right in the centre of the city, the majority of guests were nonetheless quite happy with where it was situated. They mentioned that it was just a 20 minute walk from the historic centre and its attractions, which most found quite acceptable.

Quite a number of guests mentioned that they found many great budget cafes in the immediate area that offered excellent good value meals.

Many guests complained that the hotel was on a particularly busy road and that the sound of cars passing by, especially in the early morning, could be heard in the rooms and caused difficulty getting or staying asleep.

It was difficult to find any guests who showed any sort of enthusiasm for the breakfast. It was described as a rather meagre continental affair that didn't really set guests up for much. It is not typically included in the room rate, so several guests suggested that others simply take their breakfast at a nearby café instead.

Several guests pointed out that the hotel does not have air conditioning, perhaps due to its somewhat budget nature. Those travelling in the warmer months mentioned that their rooms could get really hot, especially if the windows were closed.
