Many guests have talked of the hotel's wonderful location which conveniently places it close to some of the major points of interest in Daytona Beach including Bellair Shopping Plaza and mid-scale as well as up-scale dining and wining joints. Local attractions like Amazing You Day Spa, Daytona International Speedway, Museums, Daytona Lagoon and many others are a short drive away. However, the resort's key highlight is the world-famous Daytona Beach which is just a couple of steps from the rooms.

Guests have been impressed by La Playa Resort and Suites' house-keeping services which they say is top-notch making for a comfortable and memorable stay.

Guests have elatedly talked commended the step-out private balconies that offer spectacular ocean views and a nice stage to enjoy the sea breeze. Equally thrilling is the rooms' posh, tropical-inspired interior décor.

Some guests have not hesitated from commenting about some of the resort's dated facilities including the small-tube television sets, ill-fitting and outmoded doors, and worn furniture. Guests have also been disgruntled about the erratic manner in which some of these outmoded appliances work.

Despite the fact that many guests feel La Playa Resort and Suites' rooms are large, some of them have expressed displeasure at the beds' small size. They have also noted that the mattresses are on the hard side thus making for a rather uncomfortable sleep.

Some guests have lodged complaints with the hotel after they experienced delays and crowding in the elevator which they say can get uncomfortably hot at times.
