Hotel La Rose (Santa Rosa, USA)

The hotel is situated in the wine country and guests were pleased to find lots of popular wineries a short drive away from La Rosa. Many used the hotel as a base to explore the local vineyards and attend wine festivals. If you are a fine wine connoisseur then you'll certainly appreciate this hotel's location.

Although there is no restaurant on the premises, guests were pleased to find numerous cafes and diners just a few blocks away from the hotel. Being located close to the town center meant that guest were just a few blocks away from busy shopping streets where they could visit shopping malls and grocery stores.

The building dates back to the 1800's and still retains many of its original period features. Guests said that they were impressed with the well-presented interiors, most notably the elegant and cozy lounge. The rooms are furnished with antique furniture in keeping with the overall traditional decor.

The rooms are equipped with only the very basic amenities and guests objected to the lack of certain mod-cons such as refrigerators and microwaves which they said would have made their stay more comfortable and enjoyable.

The hotel overlooks a busy road and guests whose rooms were located at the front of the building objected to being kept awake by loud music coming from a bar across the street. If you are a light sleeper, it's advisable to ask for rooms on the upper floors.

Some of the guests were disappointed to find rather tired looking carpets and tatty upholstery in their rooms and said that the suites look like being in need of modernization.
