Very convenient location
It seems that most guests were headed quite far out every day, rather than staying around Paramus. They found the hotel’s location, very near the Garden State Parkway, to be very convenient, since it meant that they could quickly get onto the highway and be on their way.

Those crazy waffles
While only mentioned a couple of times, it seems guests really enjoyed being able to make their own waffles. Aside from it being fun, especially for the children, it also meant they ended up on the plate piping hot.

Decent room rates
Although guests didn’t go so far as to state that the hotel was good value, simply because they usually had a few issues during their stay, they did say that the room rate was quite low for the general area.

Property looking a bit run-down
This was perhaps the most common, and most serious, complaint. Guests said that it was clear from the way it looked that the building was not being properly taken care of. Either in the day to day sense being kept neat and clean, or in the longer term sense of routine maintenance. They felt standards had been allowed to slide.

Rooms much smaller than expected
An extraordinary number of guests mentioned that they were shocked by how small their room was. Many had previous stayed at other La Quinta properties, and said that these rooms were much smaller than they were used to.

There were an unusual number of guests who mentioned that they experienced rude staff members during their stay. There were only a few compliments for the staff, so it seems that there may be a general problem with staff attitude at the hotel.
