Hotel La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Roanoke Salem (Salem, USA)

This hotel serves a breakfast that is quite a bit more varied than many others. Guests seemed to have appreciated the addition of hot food items in addition to the continental style basics, saying it was quite easy to construct a tasty and filling breakfast.

Again and again guests would mention how fantastic the hotel's staff were. Specifically, they were said to be incredibly friendly, making them easy to approach with a question or issue. Guests also felt they acted professionally, and that any task left with them would get the due attention.

Guests did feel that the hotel was kept clean, but more than this, they felt it was clear that it was being well taken care of. The building was said to look good inside and out, and it seemed that all of the little maintenance tasks, that are sometimes neglected, had been taken care of.

Several guests mentioned that they could easily hear sound sounds from the adjacent rooms, even things like talking and a TV playing at normal volume. They felt that not enough had been done to soundproof the rooms.

Unusually for a La Quinta property, there were quite a number of guests who complained about the Wi-Fi. The main complaint was simply that it was unreliable, with guest sometimes not being able to establish a connection.

There was said to be a pretty serious lack of good restaurants nearby. A couple of fast food joints were pretty much all that was within walking distance. Guests definitely needed a car to be able to get to decent restaurants.
