Positive Reviews
positive:
Nice pool area
The pool, deck and small garden were undoubtedly the amenities that guests most appreciated. While some simply liked lazing about the pool, others enjoyed taking a refreshing dip after a long hot day. A couple also mentioned that they liked having the BBQ grills available.
positive:
Friendly and welcoming staff
While there were also several contrary opinions, it seems the majority of guests felt that the staff were welcoming, friendly and a credit to the hotel.
positive:
Decent price
While guests were reluctant to actually come out and say that the hotel offered good value, because of a few issues they found, they did feel that the room rates were low and that it would be quite OK for someone who just needed a place to crash.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Problem with the pet-friendly policies
While those with pets in tow were very happy with the exceptionally pet-friendly policies in place at the hotel, others were not so impressed. They felt that they gave rise to issues of both cleanliness and noise that were difficult to manage in a property that didn't have separate pet and non-pet rooms.
negative:
Carpets very dirty
While guests weren't exactly impressed with the standard of cleanliness in general, they were especially critical of the carpets. They found that they simply were not clean, and some were even concerned that they may harbor fleas or other tiny mites.
negative:
In desperate need of updating
In fact, guests were a bit harsher than simply saying that the hotel needed to be updated. Many felt that the lack of upkeep, and other factors, gave it a bit of a seedy feeling.
