Positive Reviews
positive:
Friendly and helpful staff
This was by far what guests mentioned most in positive reviews. Again and again they would say how wonderful the staff were, always friendly and with a smile on their faces. But what seemed to impress most was that they were keen to help when approached with a query or issue.
positive:
100% non-smoking hotel
Some guests mentioned that they were very happy that the whole hotel was listed as a non-smoking property. That way they were not worried that they would somehow be put in a room that had just been occupied by a smoker.
positive:
Good location for the University of Tulsa
It was mentioned that the University of Tulsa was just a short drive away, and many guests were heading there to watch games or attend other events or meetings.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Small maintenance issues
Some guests found small maintenance issues in their room. While they were usually not very serious, that was perhaps the point the reviewers were making. If they were not serious, they could easily be seen to by a handyman. The fact that they had not been, gave guests the impression management were not paying attention to the details.
negative:
Building a little run-down
Though not mentioned often, a couple of guests did think that the building exterior had seen better days. It just seemed to be in need of some TLC to get it back up to scratch.
negative:
Breakfast hours too short
As is fairly typical of hotels with somewhat restrictive breakfast hours, there were a few guests who really wished that the hours could be extended. Business people typically wanted it to start earlier and leisure guests end later. There were also reports of breakfast foods running out before the official end of the serving period.
