Exceptionally pet friendly
Like other hotels in the La Quinta Group, this one has exceptionally pet-friendly policies in place. Guests who brought their pets along seemed relieved to be treated pretty much like a regular guest, with both their pet, and themselves, receiving a warm welcome.

Convenient location close to the highway
The location, just off the I-10, really seems to have been one of the main reasons guests booked at this hotel. They simply appreciated the convenience it entailed. For one, they could easily find the hotel initially, and secondly, they didn't have to contend with much city traffic before speeding off along the highway.

Very good soundproofing
While guests couldn't be sure that there was actually extra soundproofing installed in the walls, several felt that their rooms were so quiet, with little heard from adjacent rooms, that there simply must have been. But whatever the reason, they certainly appreciated the quiet environment.

Problems with cleanliness
While most hotels get at least one or two complaints regarding cleanliness, this one received a bit more than that many. The problems were varied, from hairs in the beds to mold in the bathroom, but they did make some guests uncomfortable.

Décor is a bit dated
Several guests thought that the décor was just looking a bit dated, and that the whole property was in need of a makeover. It wasn't that they found problems with functionality, but rather that things appeared worn, frayed and in need of replacing.

Breakfast room a bit crowded
While the reviews of the breakfast itself were mixed, a couple of guest said that the breakfast room seemed too small, causing difficulty finding a seat, and also understaffed, causing long line ups at busy times.
