Positive Reviews
positive:
Convenient location near the I-80
While the hotel is a bit to the south of Kearney itself, guests found the location, just off the I-80, to be very convenient. For a start, it was described as very easy to find when driving on the highway, and secondly, it made it easy to get quickly reach other destinations to the east and west.
positive:
Fresh cookies on arrival
Several guests really appreciated the hotel's practice of providing delicious fresh, and still warm, cookies to guests on arrival. It was a kind gesture that went a long way with them.
positive:
Engaged and helpful staff
It was pretty much impossible to find a bad word written about the staff. The hotel is fairly new, but there were no reports of teething problems as far as staff service levels were concerned. On the contrary, several guests found the staff to be incredibly engaged and always keen to assist.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Breakfast a bit too basic
While guests did appreciate having breakfast available, since it meant they didn't have to seek out a restaurant for the first meal of the day, it was described, at best, as merely “OK”. Guests felt that it didn't contain enough variety to have really broad appeal.
negative:
Air conditioning a bit loud
A surprising number of guests reported that the air conditioning unit in their rooms was extraordinarily loud. So much so that some preferred to sleep in the oppressing heat rather than contend with the racket.
negative:
Fitness center a bit small
While not mentioned often, it was reported that the fitness center was pretty small, and really amounted to a fitness room. It was felt that there wasn't enough equipment to be able to put together a full workout.
