This hotel is located across the street from a large shopping center called Zona Rosa. This is perfect if you are using this hotel as a base for an airport stopover and need something to do to pass the time. It is about 8 minutes from the airport, located near Barry Road and off of I-29. It is also within walking distance to many restaurant choices including sit down or fast food.

This hotel offers a free shuttle service to and from the airport which is great for quick stays in Kansas City. They are also a pet friendly hotel, allowing you to bring your pets at no extra charge. They provide free USA Today newspapers in the lobby.

This hotel is aging and it shows. The decor is dated and it is in need of a facelift. The hallways are dark and carpets are extremely dirty and stained. A deep clean or replacement of carpets is necessary. The water pressure in the shower is low, and the tub is slow drain, leaving you to stand in water while you are showering. Towels are threadbare and are past their useful life.

While this hotel includes a free continental breakfast, the options are poor, and not very satisfying. There is not a lot of variety and the hot food options they do provide do not stay hot very long. If you're looking for a tasty, filling breakfast to keep you going throughout the day, you're better off going to a nearby restaurant.
