Houston, we have no problem…with the location
The location, close to the I-45, was considered convenient since it facilitated quick access to the highway, but a few guests specifically mentioned that the proximity to the Johnson Space Centre was as a major positive since they were visiting the facilities there.

Again and again guests mentioned how incredibly welcoming and friendly the staff were, especially at reception. They were described as a credit to the hotel and possessing the perfect skill set and temperament for the demanding hospitality profession.

The La Quinta chain has a reputation for being exceptionally pet-friendly, and a couple of guests pointed out that it was one of the few hotels in the area that welcomed their four legged friends..

Some problems with cleanliness
Too many guests for comfort spoke of fairly serious cleanliness issues in their rooms. Mold in various parts of the bathroom was often mentioned, but there were other problems as well.

The breakfast was a very basic continental buffet, with very little variety. Since it was included in the room-rate many appreciated it, but still felt it could be so much better if they only added a few cooked items.

Numerous maintenance issues
An astonishing number of guests reported that there were unresolved maintenance issues in their rooms - chipped tiles, dripping faucets and the like. While any individual issue was not exactly the end of the world, the fact that these small issues had not been seen to by maintenance did not give guests the confidence that the hotel's management were paying attention to the all important details.
