The front desk staff have received many rave reviews for their friendly, informative, and professional customer service. Guests often gratefully report their excellent restaurant suggestions or other "above and beyond" gestures of hospitality.

The guest rooms are generally described as very clean, comfortable, and modern. The microwaves and mini fridges are well appreciated. Many travelers find the beds exceptionally comfortable, too, noting they have pillowtop mattresses and plenty of pillows. Pets feel right at home, too, and they get to stay for free!

Many guests appreciate the hotel's quiet location on East Main Street, noting the drive downtown takes about five minutes and it's also a great base for exploring the Texas Wine Trail. There is a Wal Mart right next door, too.

While many guests enjoy the complimentary breakfast and most declare it acceptable for the price, some wish for a wider selection of "healthy" options, noting that many of the offerings are high in carbs or sugar, and the only protein seems to be hardboiled eggs.

Though hotel room prices fluctuate constantly and Fredericksburg is no exception, guests frequently comment that the rates are too high, particularly given the fairly basic breakfast and that the rooms, though clean and well maintained, are beginning to fray around the edges.

Several guests were dismayed to find there is no exhaust fan in the bathroom, nor a lid on the toilet. A few guests have also been steamed to discover there is a weight restriction for pets, and advise their fellow travelers to check before bringing a medium-large pooch along.
