Positive Reviews
positive:
Excellent central location
This was almost certainly what guests most appreciated about the hotel. Most had come for the sights and amenities of central Bordeaux, so this hotel, placed very much in the centre, was the perfect spot to use as a base when exploring the area.
positive:
Very friendly staff
Guest after guest mentioned in their reviews how wonderful the hotel’s staff and management were. Many reported that they made every effort to engage with their guests to make sure that they had everything they needed for a great stay in Bordeaux.
positive:
Pretty decent breakfast
Though the breakfast was described as a fairly simple basket of goodies, most guests who opted for it found it to be delicious and have enough a variety to generate a bit of interest first thing in the morning.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Very bizarre bathrooms
It was the bathrooms that perhaps attracted the most complaints. Firstly, they were said to be exceptionally small, making it uncomfortable to use them. Secondly, they were said to be very poorly constructed. It seemed to many that they had been an afterthought, with not a lot of care taken when they were being built, resulting in shoddy workmanship and a poor end result.
negative:
A little noisy
Many guests reported that they could quite easily hear the noise generated on the street below, sometimes causing them to have trouble sleeping. The tram, which passes right outside, was said to be a particular problem when it came to noise.
negative:
In need of a makeover
Quite a number of guests felt that the hotel was really beginning to show its age. It had clearly been a while since the décor had last been updated and guests felt that, for both aesthetic and wear and tear reasons, it was in urgent need of one now.
