Hotel La Belle Esplanade (New Orleans, USA)

Guests simply couldn’t say enough good things about the innkeepers, Mathew and Melanie. They were described as the consummate hosts, carrying out their task of running the inn not even as a labour of love, but as a passionate calling. Guests seemed to most enjoy their humour and local recommendations.

While it was clear that guests really enjoyed the breakfast, this isn’t what was truly remarkable. They explained that the inn does not have a commercial cooking licence, so all foods must be prepared without cooking. While this would tend to make one think that they were in for a very basic continental style breakfast, guests mentioned that nothing could be further from the truth. The innkeepers were described as virtual wizards, creating an incredible breakfast without actually cooking anything.

Guests were clearly very impressed with their suite. Aside from the usual matters of cleanliness and functionality, which they passed with flying colours; what most impressed was the décor and design. Guests really liked that they were individually decorated, and felt that the interior designers had done an excellent job creating very beautiful rooms.
