Positive Reviews
positive:
Good central location
This was perhaps what guests most appreciated during their stay, especially those arriving by train. The station was said to be just across the road, and so very convenient. Since Cannes is so compact, the beachfront area was also described as an easy walk from the hotel.
positive:
Decent value for money
On the whole, guests were very satisfied with the value for money they received during their stay. They felt that, while the facilities were basic, the room rate was very low and the location excellent, resulting in a verdict of good value for money.
positive:
Friendly and helpful staff
It seemed that guests had only good things to say about the hotel’s staff. The most often repeated praise was that they were very friendly and helpful.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Too basic for some
While they conceded that the room rate was quite low, and value reasonable, a solid minority of guests found the facilities just a bit too basic for their needs. The hotel did not seem to have much in terms of facilities and décor, and these guests may have been happier paying a bit more for a fancier hotel.
negative:
Rooms a bit small
Guests felt that the rooms were a bit small, especially the bathrooms. They seemed to be the kind of rooms that one simply uses to sleep in. A couple spending too much time in one of them may start to get on each others nerves due to the lack of space.
negative:
Very low water pressure
The problems with the bathroom didn’t stop at their size. Guests also said that the water pressure in the building was very low, resulting in showers that were somewhat less than satisfying.
