Positive Reviews
positive:
Relatively close to the beach
While guests did seem to have some serious issues with the hotel, they were unanimous in saying it was reasonably well placed for the beach. Guests describe the walk down to it as taking about 10 minutes. They also raved about Faliraki itself, but that was a little further away.
positive:
Sun loungers for all
A few guests mentioned that, unlike many other hotels they had been to, they typically didn't have any issues securing a sun lounger. There was no mention of complicated towel placements, and finding all the loungers occupied when they were looking to absorb some rays.
positive:
Fairly low room-rates
The hotel does seem to have several major issues. Provided the room-rate was low enough, some guests were willing to overlook them and simply treat their stay as an ultra-budget adventure.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Problems with overbooking
Quite a few guests mentioned not being able to check-in during high season, despite booking, and receiving confirmation, well in advance. It seems the hotel may simply overbook if they feel they can get away with it. In any event, some even speak about being moved in to staff housing. It was most unsatisfactory.
negative:
Multiple serious issues with the rooms
While some guests seemed to accept they were in an ultra-budget adventure, and had extremely low expectations, others were not so charitable. They speak of their room simply not having many things listed as standard amenities, there being no hot water for very long stretches of time and a litany of other issues to numerous to mention.
negative:
Breakfast very monotonous
Though the reviews of the food were quite mixed, even those who enjoyed it seemed to concede that the breakfast was very monotonous. A few days into a week's holiday and most would already be quite bored with it.
