According to many visitors, they have a wealth of knowledge about the area and its local attractions, and will happily share some tips to make sure your vacation is as effortless as can be.

If you're a bird watcher, or you love the idea of spending time in the natural surroundings of Gampola, then this may be the perfect spot to do just that. Guests said they could hear the early morning sounds of nature and enjoyed the laid-back lifestyle.

Although the surroundings are absolutely beautiful, guests were disappointed with the condition of the buildings. A good coat of paint is urgently needed, along with replacements of almost all the fixtures and fittings. Visitors suggested that with a little TLC, this resort should be back on its feet.

Guests who had to pre-order their breakfast the day before for a specific time, were frustrated to get their meal way after the agreed upon time. Visitors had to alter their vacation plans for the day, and were not pleased to say the least.

Reports of dirty carpets, dusty curtains, and all-round unkept rooms were received from several guests. Many of them decided to do a little cleaning of their rooms themselves before settling in and enjoying the vacation.
