Positive Reviews
positive:
Breakfast is absolutely delightful and filling.
Breakfast at Kersbrook is huge, delicious, and obvious in its fresh ingredients and preparation. The compliments are so strong that the only disappointment is that there is no other dining onsite to match or reflect that great morning meal.
positive:
Knowledgeable hosts and staff make it a great stay.
The hosts and staff eagerly share stories about the history of the inn, as well as everything they know about Lyme Regis and the surrounding Jurassic Coast. You're immediately welcomed into the bed and breakfast with tea and homemade cake, and made to feel like more than just another guest.
positive:
Rooms and ambiance are as lovely as the setting.
A simple yet comfy ambiance, light colours, and an impression of letting go of stress at the sea, give this place its charming appeal. Whether relaxing in the gardens with a drink, or letting time go by while reading a book or playing a game, the entire atmosphere is one of cosiness and appreciation.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Noise comes through thin upper floorboards.
If you're sensitive to noise, you may want to re-think a ground level room. The floorboards are thin, so you hear everything above you, from walking to slamming doors, to loud conversations.
negative:
Wi-Fi signal is inconsistent or absent at times.
You're out in the country and by the sea, so Wi-Fi reception is temperamental. It may come through but intermittently, or not at all. Or you may get lucky and have a fine signal. Just keep that inconsistency in mind.
negative:
Rooms could use makeovers to earn more value.
The rooms aren't cheap, so guests are disappointed that the décor and furnishings look like they could use some attention. Brighter and bolder colours, stronger layout designs, and a fresh makeover would be more in line with the prices.
