Positive Reviews
positive:
Friendly and accommodating staff
The hotel's staff seemed to have been the highlight for most guests. They are almost universally described as very welcoming and friendly, and informative as well when it came to dishing out the intel on their home town.
positive:
Parking on-site
Although not mentioned very often, guests who were using a car found that there was more than enough secure on-site parking, and that it wasn't too expensive, something they didn't think they would have found in central Rome.
positive:
Cheap room-rate
While the guests were conflicted as to whether they received good value for money, most conceded that the room-rate they got was very low. So those looking for a clean, cheap place to sleep will probably not be disappointed.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Very poor breakfast
There were two problems a lot of guests seemed to have with the breakfast at the hotel. Firstly, it was neither varied nor tasty, but rather limited and bland. Secondly, there was not enough food, so guests arriving a little late, but still within the posted times, were left high, dry and very hungry. Astonishingly for Italy, the coffee was said to come out of a vending machine.
negative:
In a pretty run-down neighbourhood
Guests describe the immediate area as a bit dodgy, with litter in the street, feral animals roaming around and so on. It was not the best introduction to Rome, and some even felt the area might be unsafe.
negative:
Very long ride into Rome
Though the exact time is unclear, some guests maintain that the train into Rome takes as much as 45 minutes from the hotel. To some this wasn't an issue, but to many under tight time constraints, it meant that much less time to see the sights.
