Positive Reviews
positive:
Magnificent views.
There wasn't a bad view to be found at Ilma. Guests were mesmerised by the panoramic display of nature all around them, which was truly show-stopping. Everywhere guests went- the pool, restaurant, car park, the view was there, much to the delight of guests who had high hopes for memorable lakeside vantage points.
positive:
You won't be hungry for long.
Guests had positive things to say about a large selection of food at the buffets. Breakfast and dinner both had a choice of items that were cooked to an excellent standard, and even the pickiest of eaters could find something to eat.
positive:
Newer pool and bathrooms.
It was obvious to returning guests that upgrades were a top priority for the owners. They noticed several things that were improved upon, with the latest being an enhanced swimming pool and bathrooms that were now caught up with the times.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Where's the Italian ambiance?
Some guests were put off by the saturation of mostly German fellow guests. Hotel owners only spoke German, and while many staff members spoke other languages, things like information boards were exclusively for German speakers to understand.
negative:
Bring your walking shoes.
Some guests were positively dismayed with the amount of stairs and steep climbs in and around Ilma. A trek from the car park with luggage was a feat in summer, and after guests laboured to reach reception, they had a further climb to their rooms. And while very close to the centre of Limone sul Garda, guests also complained about the challenging walk back and forth.
negative:
Avoid peak times if possible.
While everyone loves an Italian summer holiday, some guests strongly advised planning a visit at off-peak times. A swimming pool packed with kids, and a frenetic breakfast scene, weren't conducive of a peaceful and relaxing vacation.
