The rooms at Il Lato Azzurro are basic — keep in mind, no TVs — but nevertheless clean, comfortable and spacious.

Depending on your schedule and patience, you may find the location to be a bit far out for your liking, with two vaporetto rides required from certain parts of Venice, one from others and the schedule sometimes limited to running once per hour.

Most were very happy with the plentiful breakfast offering, but a few found the simple fare to be less luxurious with a smaller selection than they had hoped for.
