Guests often comment that the hotel is inexpensive "by Swiss standards," and that Zurich is a particularly spendy city. The rooms are generally described as clean, comfortable, and reasonably spacious, too; travellers accustomed to the hotel brand are happy to find the bathrooms are not the molded plastic "pod" style often favoured by the chain, and the parquet flooring is a welcome, practical choice given the building is pet friendly.

Though the location is not central, the hotel is well connected to all of the sights via the city's excellent public transportation system. The Technopark tram stop is just a few steps away, and offers a direct route to Zurich Hauptbahnhof.  The Hardbrucke station is a ten minute walk, and offers express trains to the airport. The Limmat River is close by, offering guests the ideal route for a stroll or jog.

The front desk staff have earned many positive reviews for their polite and professional customer service, and compliments go to the chef on the dinner menu in the hotel restaurant: the menu is widely described as limited, but of good quality.

Some guests have been unpleasantly surprised by the lack of amenities such as a kettle, ironing board, and mini fridge in the rooms.

Some hungry guests have been disappointed by the lack of variety and hot options at the continental breakfast, having expected better "for the price."

Housekeeping oversights, billing or booking errors, and the absence of smiles at the front desk are among the concerns of dissatisfied guests.
