Handy location for theme parks
This hotel's location was popular with many guests, who liked the way it was just opposite the causeway leading to Cedar Point. It put them within three miles of the rollercoaster-packed amusement parks. Motorists appreciated being just off US Route 6 for easy access to Lake Erie, downtown Sandusky, ferry terminals and the Amtrak station. Another plus was the proximity of several roadside eateries and gas stations.

Cheap and fairly cheerful

The rooms reportedly weren't fancy but did manage to be sufficiently clean and comfortable for a shorter stay. However, some guests felt the rooms and bathrooms were small. The free breakfast was a plus as was the complimentary parking.
