Hotel Howard Johnson by Wyndham Staunton (Staunton, USA)

Saunton is within a five-minute walk of the hotel where there is an array of delightful restaurants, casual eateries, and night time entertainment available. Many visitors enjoy the walk and say the surroundings are safe and secure.

Many guests love to spend the day at the beautiful outdoor pool area. When its warm outdoors the pool has a great vibe and kids and adults alike make new friends. There is enough space for everyone to enjoy the water, or catch some of the sun rays on one of the deck chairs.

Just a short drive off the I-81, you will find a large clean room with a king size bed on offer. Guests are pleased to find a microwave and fridge available in the rooms and most visitors said they were able to get a great night's sleep too. You will even be able to enjoy a really good breakfast the next morning.

Although the hotel and rooms are well-appointed and well looked after, many guests felt the hotel's building and rooms could do with some modernization. The furniture and fixtures were reported to be a bit outdated; however visitors felt this did not seem to detract from an overall good experience.

Many of the non-smoking rooms were reported to be pretty smelly, and guests did not appreciate the fact that previous guests definitely did light up in these rooms. The air was musty, and even the linen and curtains had that lingering smell.

The beds here are not the most comfortable hotel beds according to many visitors. Some beds were lumpy, others were slumped towards the middle, and a few were actually way too hard.
