Many travelers describe the general atmosphere as "family friendly," thanks in large part to the kind, attentive staff. The front desk team, manager, and breakfast host are frequently singled out for their hospitality and eagerness to make everyone feel "at home."

Many guests describe the rooms as clean, spacious, quiet, and comfortable. Families and long-term guests particularly appreciate the practical, "homey" layout with its full kitchen and separate sitting area. Fit travelers report that the smallish gym is reasonably well equipped, and the outdoor pool is a refreshing bonus in summer months.

Drivers appreciate that the hotel is close to many major freeways, including I-93 and I-90, making it a good base for day trips to Boston, Manchester, Salem, New Hampshire, and much more. Many travelers also like the hotel's setting in a quiet business park, noting there are a good variety of local as well as popular chain restaurants and shops within five miles.

Though the reviews of the staff are largely positive, a small percentage of guests have been disappointed in a lack of "follow through" after receiving promises to address reported issues, or else have experienced long waits at the front desk and/or an indifferent attitude.

Though widely considered to well maintained, the furnishings are showing some wear, and the traditional decor may be due for an update. The pullout sofa beds seem to be as uncomfortable here as anywhere.
