Positive Reviews
positive:
Clean, comfortable, and spacious rooms...
The guest rooms are described as sparkling clean and up to date, a great fit for families moving grown children into FSU thanks to the pullout sofa in the living area and full-sized fridge in the kitchenette. The comfortable beds and effective blackout curtains ensure many a great night's rest, too. The outdoor pool is widely described as inviting on those 90-degree days, and the well equipped fitness centre (conveniently located right next to the laundry room) is also much appreciated.
positive:
A top-notch team...
The reception and housekeeping staff receive many glowing reviews for their friendly and accommodating customer service. Travellers particularly admire the staff for handling difficult situations, from demanding fellow guests to hurricane conditions, with class.
positive:
Shop til you drop...
Guests who prefer a quieter atmosphere enjoy the hotel's location just outside the downtown core, noting there are many restaurants and shops nearby, including a Starbucks just across the (very large, and free) parking lot.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Use your inside voice...
Some guests report that the interior sound insulation between rooms is not very good; barking dogs and foot traffic in the hallways have been reported as issues.
negative:
Not so "suite"...
Some guests dislike the "open" layout of the studio suites, which feature a curtain as a dividing wall between the living and sleeping areas. Others are uncomfortable with the sliding door to the bathroom, or find the overall look too modern and "cold."
negative:
Nobody's perfect...
Though the staff generally receive very positive reviews, mistakes (housekeeping oversights, room assignment mix-ups) are occasionally reported.
